Vacation Courses
Have a breakthrough vacation.
Cruising amid the breathtaking splendor of Alaska's inside passage, skiing the Rocky Mountains, being pampered in the top spas and resorts in the world - all this while engaging with other Wisdom graduates. Offered in a variety of vacation spots and on cruise ships, The Vacation Courses extend the exploration of the Landmark Wisdom Course. You will have the opportunity to combine being on vacation with exploring and deepening the distinctions of transformation - while you have a really great time.
Each course focuses on a particular topic designed to expand your facility with the conversations for designing your life, work, and contribution in the world. In each week-long session, you will intersperse periods of reflective inquiry and discussion with time devoted entirely to your own renewal, well-being, and fun.
You will leave the course entirely rejuvenated and refreshed in body and spirit. You will have enjoyed a wonderful vacation, and you will have the opportunity to achieve a breakthrough in an area that is close to your heart. You also will find yourself organized to implement your insights and discoveries into your daily practices and concerns. Some of the courses that are offered include:
Transforming Yesterday's Strategies In this six-day course, delivered at a spa or resort, you examine the different conversations that you have and how they are shaped by gender. Gender is a basic fact of our physical existence. Although it has nothing to do with our possibility as a person, it often limits how we look at ourselves and at others. Strategies are embedded in every conversation we have - everything in this course is designed to let you see your gender-based strategies.
Transforming Yesterday's Strategies II In this course, we will deepen and further explore the distinctions of Transforming Yesterday's Strategies I by implementing the insights from the first course and examining the strategies that are undistinguished and still impacting your freedom to be. Transforming Yesterday's Strategies II explores long-term family, friends and business relationships and how conversations and early compromises made in our lives have shaped how we are living today. This course will look at these early conversations and show us how to begin resolving issues as a relationship, not as an individual. Participants will experience having their relationships become a platform from which they can contribute to others.
Exploring the Fulfilled Life
Fulfilled living is a function of achievement that starts with commitment. Often we limit what we're going after, simply because of failures we've experienced in the past. By seeing where we've imposed these limits we are able to open up our lives to new areas of achievement. We find ourselves now willing to commit to what matters to us and free to take on what previously seemed unavailable.
This course explores “structural language” - ongoing, repetitive, sometimes simultaneous gestures, facial expressions, postures, and so on. All of our activities include this structural aspect - whether we are aware of it or not. Being aware of or present to the influence of this aspect of our conversations lets us increase our effectiveness and can be crucial to the fulfillment of our commitments. In the Structural Connections course you explore what becomes possible when you access those conversations. Like adding a new room to your house, adding new structural sentences to your repertoire generates new spaces in which you can grow and develop.
This course bypasses understanding and explanation and goes directly into practice - establishing a new clearing. In this clearing already existing habitual conversations disappear. As you know, when something disappears you have space and when you have space you can move about differently. Most of us have been bound up inside a set of habitual structural language conversations with no space to move about. This course will give you space again - what you do with it will depend on what you're up to.
Year-End Cruise At the end of the year, we set sail on a luxurious Caribbean cruise. The topic of the course changes each year. Participants have the opportunity to create, express, and explore inside the rich distinctions of the Wisdom Course. Participants - which include 200 participants, the Wisdom Course leaders, and 100 family members and friends - come from all parts of the world to spend a week sharing and exploring new possibilities for living.
Program Logistics Vacation Courses take place at vacation spots or on cruise ships during 5-7 days. Course sessions are approximately three hours each day depending on the other vacation activities scheduled. This is a vacation, yet we recommend that participants attend all course sessions.
Participants in the course can bring along family and friends, as space permits. The price for family and friends will not include tuition fees.
